It is my absolute pleasure to rave about Proair. I am a senior gal and long story short, my antiquated furnace became defunct after a severe wind storm. Steve arrived to assess my situation and explained beautifully what my options were in a clear and pleasant manner without any pressure tactics. In just a few days I had a high efficiency furnace installed, all ducts were cleaned, and central air was installed. The crews were fabulous! Huge thank you to proair for their quick response when our furnace decided to quit on us. I talked to Colleen who assured me a service tech would be there same day (40 minutes later and Gideon arrived. Was able to diagnose the problem, back to shop to get parts, phoned to let us know price and that Ben would arrive to complete the fix. Everyone at proair was very prompt, professional and knowledgeable at every step. Ben explained the parts that needed replacing, showed us the damaged one. From phone call to completion all done in 4 hours. Very impressed with the company and employees. Would not hesitate to recommend anyone to be using this company. I don’t take the time to review businesses but given my recent experience with Proair I had to make an exception. This business is 10 out of 10, “A” plus, outstanding! I’m sometimes suspicious of reviews that are over the top glowing so please know I’m not related to anyone at this business, I don’t personally know anyone from Pro-Air nor was I asked to complete this review. Here are reasons for this superior review. I had a Natural gas garage heater installed. I obtained a quote from the “competition” which was SIGNIFICANTLY higher and to my surprise involved cutting a hole in the ceiling to run the gas line and did NOT include the necessary electrical work that needed to be done. Pro-Air provided me with a quote within an hour of attending my house, did not hack a hole in my ceiling to install the gas line and completed the work in less than 2 weeks. The crew that showed up was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The office staff was equally pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with. Additionally they took their shoes off in my house, washed their hands before handling items, brought drop cloths and cleaned everything up before they left. Next time I need any heating and cooling stuff done to be honest I’m not even going to bother getting quotes from the competition.

Pro Air to the Rescue … a week earlier our existing contractor did a pre winter maintenance visit for our 11 year old combi boiler, plus a small leak had developed – determined to be a minute crack in crossover tube. Long story made really short, it was suggested we consider replacing the boiler as a pipe would not be available until Jan 2024. Boiler turned back on, techs did not wait for it to ignite, and left. Boiler turns out would not ignite and run, so a week later no domestic heat or hot water. Called up Pro Air initially for comparison quote on new boiler – but one of the first things Steve the owner did today was RECONNECT wiring from motherboard to ignition chamber, left disconnected by the other technicians. Boiler immediately started flawlessly and a shower felt so good. While we still have the leak to figure out and fix, we are less inclined to think our boiler is hooped. Pro Air has a new client and looking forward to repair of little leak. Thanks Pro Air, I can tell already there is much caring, expertise and knowledge with the firm.

ProAir was the only company able to give us a clear up-front quote and handle the entire job we required. (We removed an oil furnace/tank, and installed a new electric furnace with a heat pump.) After the installation, we had an issue come up (nothing to do with ProAir) and after talking with Steve (the owner) for quiet some time about our problem, he actually came back and re-installed all of our equipment to fix the issue for us. It would have been easy for ProAir to leave us as is, but they went above and beyond to make sure they left us with a perfect working system in place. Very grateful for their service. Oh also, when I asked what the final cost was, they just said “exactly what the quote was”! out of all the reno’s we’ve done this is the first time a contractor hasn’t gone over the original quote !!

When my gas – hot water heating system failed in the cold weather, ProAir made a priority of getting on site by rearranging workload to address my emergency. They quickly diagnosed the issue, sourced parts for my system (which they don’t normally sell) and got me up and running in no time. While they were at it, they serviced the entire unit and explained all the aspects of the repair. Further, they declined to invoice for any part of the work until it was 100% complete. My strongest possible recommendation for this local company for a quality of customer service and support beyond compare.

We have used Proair to install and maintain our AC, furnace, pool heater and clean our ducts. Always a good experience. On my most recent call to the office I spoke to Leah about how cold it is in our basement in the summer. The problem we had was our AC runs quite continuously trying to keep the upstairs cool. She had some very useful tips and now our AC runs way less and our upper and lower floors are much more equally cooled. We also recently had a new Thermostat installed and now we can control our heating and cooling from our phone. Really nice perk which for us means less energy consumption. When I was investigating a company to replace my electric furnace and wood furnace with a propane furnace, I had three estimates by three companies. Steve’s bid was in the middle, however I read the reviews and chose ProAir. I was impressed with John and his crew who demonstrated professional work ethics, seldom seen in this day and age. They took very short work breaks and lunch times, if any.They laid down floor mats from the front entrance to the basement and cleaned up after they finished. ALL the wiring, propane fittings and tin work is very neat and tidy which indicates true craftsmanship. As I frequently complain about the younger generation not knowing how to work, this company gives me hope for the future. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to family and friends. They are not cheap, but you certainly get your moneys worth in dependability, reliability, and peace of mind. I am now looking at having them install a security camera system so I can watch my house when in Arizona. My wife and I thank you!

Proair lives up to its name and is worthy of a “Best Practice Business Model Award” for outstanding workmanship and service delivery in the Shuswap. We had them install a new residential energy efficient furnace, central air conditioning and an air purification system in August 2016. The project was prioritized and completed on schedule and within four working days of receiving the initial estimate exactly as quoted, including a complimentary furnace vent cleaning. All applications for manufacture rebates, the $800 Fortis grant and warranty registration were completed by administration staff on our behalf hassle free. Personnel representing ownership, administration, technical expertise and supervision, installation services and furnace vent cleaning are exceedingly competent and knowledgeable. They present themselves as professional, dedicated and loyal staff who are friendly, interpersonally astute, considerate and most accommodating in the performance of their duties. We are delighted with our York, high efficiency furnace. Having checked with our local natural gas provider and received a recommended list of certified contractors, we decided on a company that has a significant presence in our area. Proair Heating and Cooling of Salmon Arm, British Columbia has replaced my residential forced-air heating system. Nicely done! It was both impressive and educational to watch these people work. Their metal fabrication work, where they had to adapt the existing ductwork to the new furnace, is a work of art. They did exactly what they said they would do at the quoted price and on the schedule they laid out for us at the time of the initial job quote. The 60,000 Btu/hour York, super efficient replacement furnace (Energuide rating of 97.5%) is wonderfully quiet and the air stream coming from the heating ducts is gentle enough that the curtains barely move (unlike our previous blower that made the curtains dance). Steve was very astute in pointing out various simple DIY activities that I could do to improve the energy efficiency of the house. We are very satisfied and highly recommend the Salmon Arm Proair people.

Our old furnace was 35 years old and was installed in a small closet area. It was a more difficult removal and reinstallation than normal… and because there was no floor drain, Proair had to adapt a special drain through the floor joists… Steve did this and left no visible signs of his work. When he was done, all areas were completely cleaned up. He also handled himself in a very professional manner… and explained all instructions afterward. This furnace was installed on a Friday. Steve made himself available if any incident should take place over the weekend. I would highly recommend Proair for any cooling or heating installation that you may have.

We had a wood and electric furnace replaced by a 97.5 efficient propane furnace. John and his crew showed up on time and explained what and how they were going to do. They were very professional, taking care to lay down floor mats from the entrance to the basement. I was impressed with their work ethics, taking very little time off for breaks or lunch. On the second day they finished the install by replacing the hot water tank. The Wi-Fi thermostat is working great. I have often complained about the lack of craftsmanship in today’s world!
